Features:

A special continuous flow type cryostat is used, solid powder and frozen solution samples can be measured between 4.2 K and room temperature, ultra-low vibration, linewidth of standard α-Fe is less than 0.28mm/s. Temperature accuracy is 0.1K, He gas protection under atmospheric pressure. The radioactive source, sample cell and detector are assembled horizontally, the cryostat can be flexibly disassembled. 25 mCi 57Co(Rh) single-line radiation source and krypton filling LND proportional counter.

Applications:

This instrument can continuously measure Mössbauer transmission spectrum (MTS) at any temperature point between 4.2 K and room temperature, can also measure air sensitive samples and frozen solution samples that require He gas protection.

The Mössbauer spectroscopy is a technology that studies the behavior of resonant absorption of gamma rays by a specific atomic nuclei. Energy resolution is extremely high. Hyperfine interaction, phase information, valence state, coordination structure and magnetism property of Mössbauer nuclei can be obtained. Generally, the variable temperature MTS measurements can be used to characterize the crystal lattice dynamics, magnetism, spin crossover, electron hopping, valence tautomerism, relaxation etc..

The maximum diameter of the solid powder sample cell is 12mm, and the recommended optimal absorption thickness of Fe is 10mg/cm2. The volume of freezing solution sample cell is 200mm3, and the enriched isotope 57Fe is recommended for sample preparation.
